24 Mar New Date Set for 5K/10K
We are happy to announce the rescheduled date for the #GiveMeaning 5K/10K as Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 8 a.m. As you may know, the previously scheduled date was April 25. Originally, the event was scheduled to take place at the Whitley County Fairgrounds, but it will now take place at Morsches Park.
“This has been a very unique year, and we at Passages are thankful to announce that we’ve been able to reschedule this year’s 5K and 10K event,” said Development Manager, Amy Johns.
With the postponement and rescheduling of the race, those who already registered for the original event date can do one of the following:
- A.) use their registration for the Aug. 29 event,
- B.) transfer the registration fee to the 2021 race or,
- C.) consider the registration fee a donation to Passages, Inc.
For those who would still like to register for the 5K or the 10K event, visit our #GiveMeaning page. Registration is $20 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K before August 10. Participants receive a shirt, and prizes will be awarded for each category.
“It’s great participating in and seeing everyone be excited for the 5K, and now, the 10K events,” said Jason Meyer, President and CEO. “Along with getting fresh air, exercise and McDonald’s breakfast, you are also supporting the mission of passionately leading or assisting people with disabilities into a thriving and meaningful life.”
Passages extends a thank you to the Columbia City McDonald’s for being the Gold Sponsor for this event and to Silver Sponsors Breyden Products, ProFed Credit Union, and Del Fuego/Van Buren Event Center.
